The office of Human Resources (HR)/Personnel will periodically post notices of open exam announcements as published by the Nassau County Civil Service Commission to internal staff members.

When competitive openings become available, HR will canvas the appropriate civil service list for eligible candidates. Eligible candidates will receive electronic canvas letters for them to confirm their interest in the position. Failure to respond may result in removal from the eligible list.

The office of HR/Personnel will publish any open non-competitive job postings when they become available. These positions do not require a Civil Service exam for hiring. Applicants will be assessed based on qualifications, experience and relevant education and/or training (if applicable).
