It was a great week to be a Falcon! The Locust Valley Central School District community celebrated a circus-themed Homecoming with spirited school activities, lively pep rallies and Saturday festivities that brought students, families, staff and alumni together.

The excitement began with visits to some of our youngest Falcons. Freddie the Falcon joined the football and cheerleading captains at Bayville Primary School, Bayville Intermediate School, Ann MacArthur Primary School and Locust Valley Intermediate School to talk about Homecoming and share their school spirit.

Throughout the district, students and staff embraced Spirit Week with themed outfits, Falcon green and decorated hallways. High school students added to the fun with creative circus-themed looks.

At the middle school, a high-energy pep rally celebrated student-athletes and rallied Falcon pride.

The high school’s pep rally featured musical performances by the Chamber Singers and the Pep Band, and a performance by the varsity cheerleaders, as well as awards to the most spirit class and teacher.
The traditional Senior Photo on the Hill marked a memorable milestone for the Class of 2027.

The homecoming court was announced during the pep rally, with juniors Hodavia Tedeschi and Ethan Rodriguez as the princess and prince, and seniors Ava Roedel and Max Cummo as queen and king.
On Saturday, the Homecoming parade brought the community together ahead of the football game at Fred Smith Field.
Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors decorated their respective floats, each featuring a Falcon playing football. The seniors won and received $200, which will go toward their prom.

It was Falcons versus Falcons as Locust Valley took on visiting Valley Stream South. Locust Valley lost, with a final score of 21-3. The Generals cheerleaders and high school varsity cheerleaders and middle school cheerleaders kept the crowd energized and cheered on the team.
Student musicians helped set the celebratory tone. The high school Chamber Singers performed the national anthem, Period 8 Modern Band performed for the first time, and the Pep Band added to the game-day excitement.

Community members were invited to tour the updated spaces at the middle school and high school, including the renovated cafeteria and the new research library center. About 20 people, including former students from the Class of 1976, took the tour.

Thank you to the students, families, staff and community members who helped make Homecoming the greatest show of Falcon pride! 📣✨
