Locust Valley’s boys soccer team is headed to the Nassau County Class A championship, giving the community a chance to celebrate an outstanding season and a special chapter in Coach Joe Lee’s career.
The Falcons will face Plainedge on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 4:30 p.m. at Farmingdale State College.
Locust Valley earned its championship berth with a 2-1 victory over Mineola in the Oct. 26 semifinal, bringing its season record to 13-2-0.
The championship appearance carries added meaning for Lee, who is in his 23rd and final season as the Falcons’ head coach. Lee has helped shape students’ experiences in the classroom and on the soccer field.
For younger Falcons, this championship run offers a chance to see their high school team in action and imagine their own future in a Locust Valley uniform.
Students, families, alumni and community members are invited to cheer on the Falcons as they compete for the county title.
