Locust Valley Central School District

On the morning of Sept. 9, Locust Valley and Bayville schools continued to honor our commitment to never forget those lost in the attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001. At the ceremonies throughout the district today, students wore red, white and blue and spoke about what being a hero means to them before we commemorate first responders for Patriot Day on Sept. 11. In their social studies classes today, middle and high schoolers discussed how that day still affects communities throughout the district.
