The Locust Valley Retired Teacher Organization generously donated $1,075 to the Locust Valley Intermediate School Library to purchase new books for students.
Elaine Palmer and Peggy Parente, both former longtime teachers at the school, presented the gift in memory of former principal JoAnn Grim and former teacher Janet Weiss.
Students in several classrooms created Thank You cards to express their appreciation for the organization’s generous gift.
Thank you, Elaine, Peggy and our retired teachers, for honoring their legacy and supporting the love of reading in our students.
