Senior Chelsy Arrata has been selected as president of the National Honor Society at Locust Valley High School.
“Following months of hard work and a selective application and interview process, I am incredibly grateful to have earned this position,” she said.
In this role, Chelsy looks forward to working alongside fellow students and making meaningful contributions to her school and community.
During a recent conversation with Superintendent Kristen Turnow, Chelsy encouraged students to get involved in school activities as a way to develop their leadership skills and grow personally.
“You’re never gonna get to a point of success if you don’t just take that first step. The first step is always the scariest step,” she said.
